My usual quest for close-toed, comfortable, heeled shoes stopped here. Jacques Cohen-my beloved espadrille company is no more (since Jacques Levin slipper company purchase him (Jack) and added fancy strings to his shoes). Someone,
EM&M Espadrille is taking pride in knocking off the Jacques Cohen Espadrille and these shoes seem to be a hit among you East Coast preppies from Connecticut. Currently, these darling numbers are available in black and lavender.

They remind me of an apple green pair my mom wore when I was little.
Cute.
Where is Papagallo's when you need them? I had their's in every color when I was in college...I loved them!!
I need a good wedge heel for an outfit. But I need them in brown I think. xo
Yes, I loved them too. I wrote a post on them and other replacements a while back. They are hard to find. Good to know there is another one available.
I had espadrilles when I was younger and to tell you I loved them. I just purchased a pair on shoes.com today with the code of SALE for an xtra 20% off on sale merch. The ones I bought were the navy and white stripe.
These look so darling and I might be in need of purchasing these.
I believe in comfort for my feet.
Do they run true to size?
I have the black, so comfortable.
I love how they add height and class!
These remind of of the espadrilles I wore when I was younger...always with my monogram!!!

Thank you so much for rediscovering these...I've been looking for them for ten years! :-)
I'm dating myself here, but I LIVED in Jacques Cohen espadrille shoes when I was younger. I had so many colors! I am thrilled to see these back! THANK YOU for the post!
http://www.espadrillestore.com is the only website I know of in North America selling the traditional Spanish espadrilles hand made.
Enjoy !

I used to by my wedge-heeled espadrilles at Millers Outpost in the late 70s and early 80s when I was in high school. I'm not sure if they were made by Jacques Cohen, but they definitely had the cut that was his signature. I have not seen that exact look duplicated in over 25 years.
