An Invasion of Ants and Frogs

Well, for the longest time, we were a home for girls. We had numerous American Girl Dolls, kitchens, pots, pans, make-up, and we have had hamsters, fish, etc. Even though we have about 10,000 pieces of Lego, we have now finally achieved boy household status.

Last week, we received our shipment in the mail of Red Ants (thank you Aunt Laurie&Uncle Jim) and our darling, slimy little tadpoles. Thank goodness the ants will eventually die since it says on the package that they do bite (great). The tadpoles, if they survive, will be set them free in a few months.

Yes, you are an official "boy house" now! Oh, my. I do hope that they stay contained! They will certainly be entertaining and educational. Hope your morning is going well--and your coffee hot!

My mother was fortunate that every time my brother wanted an ant farm that all she had to do was point out that I am deathly allergic to ants and then the discussion was over. However, I was her child that was always going around bringing her frogs and tadpoles and toads and such while wearing frilly pink dresses and bows in my hair!

Funny you should mention red ants. I found a little mound of them that I plan to sprinkle today with the deadly dust. Please don't tell your son ;-) xoxo

What a cute post! We get buried under the tiaras, dolls and such too! My son is a tween and he's into strumming the guitar very, very loudly...fun!

Love your blog! Now you're stuck with me! hee hee hee:)
