Oh, wellies, how I love thee! If only I owned such a spectrum :) You will have such a wonderful time at the Met on your Frankweiler journey! It was by far one of my favorite books as a child (and still is, for that matter!). If your son enjoyed the Mixed Up Files, you should also check out The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder. It's of a similar adventursome nature, and is wonderful! I adore your blog; it's a highlight of the day to check and see what's new!
